Silk with Kesi weaving, silk and gold threads, linen back and top. China, 19th century Qing Dynasty

This lot comprises two matching silk panels, executed in Kesi technique. Each panel has three rectangular cartouches with red back ground color. There vivid scenes with warriors can be seen. Between the red cartouches smaller pale cartouches show auspicious objects. Archaistic borders round off the precious appearance. Collector’s numbering and code to linen.

Dimensions: 25 x 106 cm - each
Condition: Extensive soiling, slight fading and several loose stitches –mainly to the margins.
