Silk with multi-colored silk threads. China, late Qing Dynasty

This lot comprises a total of four neatly embroidered and segmented chair covers. The upper part shows a roundel with lotuses and bats. The bats are repeated at the lower part amidst lingzhi and clouds. The crème colored segments are framed by midnight blue, embroidered borders.

Shape: Rectangular, die-cut, vertical panels
Dimensions: Approx. 59 x 117 each
Condition: Some discoloration and large stains, smaller tears or holes and several loose threads
