This large embroidery was a commemorative gift for a high ranked personality at the occasion of his appointment by Imperial court. It shows the detailed portrayal of the god of longevity, Shoulao, holding a peach and accompanied by his traditional animal companion, the crane. Shoulao is framed by smaller portrayals of the eight immortals. At the top is a magnificent dragon and phoenix motive with a 4-character seal mark “Long zhang feng gao” (= dragon seal phoenix order) just below the dragon head. The lower end shows guardian lion dogs.

Condition: Good condition with minor wear and signs of age such as few loose threads. Colors are fresh.

紅緞，五彩絲綫及金色絲綫，分段，背面平紋亞麻，金屬環用於懸挂

壽幛是作爲宮廷給有名望的官員生辰賞賜。壽幛上有壽老抱著桃子以及
他的神獸仙鶴。壽老四周為八位仙人。壽幛最頂部是雄偉的龍鳳，龍頭下
方有“龍章鳳誥“四字。下方有雄獅守護。

品相良好，輕微的磨損和歲月痕跡以及幾處松綫。色彩鮮艷。
