Silk with silk and gold brocade threads. China, late Qing Dynasty
Held primarily in gold and bronze shades this embroidery shows precious objects such as a dragon vase, Ruyi scepters or an incense burner. Two bats are crowning the imagery which showcases much love for detail. The panel consists of three joint segments.
Shape: Rectangular, horizontal panel
Dimensions: 98 x 84 cm
Condition: The embroidery is in very good condition with only few loose threads. The background silk shows wear, discoloration, small holes and staining.
