A Queen Victoria bronze Jubilee Medal, 1887, by J E Boehm, produced by the Royal Mint, the obverse with profile portrait of Queen Victoria facing left and wearing Small Diamond crown and long lace veil, inscribed VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, the reverse depicts the enthroned and crowned figure of Victoria holding sword and orb, Mercury and Time lounge at her feet while the personifications of Science, Letters, Art, Industry and Agriculture congregate around her holding relevant implements, two cherubs appear above with the lettering IN COMMEMORATION’, below the figures are shields bearing the names of the Continents, ‘FL’ to the left of Mercury identifies the artist behind this design as Frederick Leighton, in fitted presentation case with descriptive card, 77mm; together with a Queen Victoria medal in commemoration of the 50th year of the Reign of Queen Victoria 21 June 1887, with blue and white ribbon with 1897 bar, in fitted case; and a Franz Joseph I 1 Florin silver coin, 1888, Austria-Hungary, in white metal laurel wreath mount with brooch pin (3) Provenance: Works of Art from the Schroder Collection.Please refer to department for condition report
