吉祥天母为蔵传佛教中十分重要且唯一的女性护法神。因能飞行于天上、地上、地下三界，故又称“三界总主”。此尊吉祥天母以游戏姿侧身坐于黄骡背上，身后僧带飞舞，头戴五骷髅冠，发如火焰，面呈愤怒相，口咬一人，左手于胸前捧嘎巴拉碗，右手上扬，身披璎珞，人首鬘悬于腹下，造像躯体比例协调，骡子脚下的山峦血海底座是非常重要的表现特征，充分表现出吉祥天母于血海中急奔的姿态，极富张力。
