本品直口微撇，筒腹，平底。釉面莹润素洁，胎体洁白细腻。周身以青花为饰，绘荷舟仙渡人物故事图。画面中一老翁右手持钵，钵中仙气飞涌而出，老翁神色超然，御风而行，畅游天地，四周云海淼淼，身后群山起伏。 崇祯朝笔筒多见历史人物故事题材，以瓷明志，大多表达文人盼望科举高中，被伯乐赏识的心情，而本品所绘荷舟仙渡之浪漫玄幻之境，题材新颖，彼时少见。其青花色泽翠亮，画意生动，画面引人入胜，趣味十足，实为不可多得的崇祯青花文房佳作。
