此件束腰四足香几，条环板上镂空，牙子上开框内饰四组花卉纹，牙子像披肩似的覆盖着腿足，腿足下半卷。整件香几纹饰皆以嵌螺钿手法装饰，台面饰人物故事图，亭台楼阁小桥，一派繁华景象；环板、足腿外侧、台面及台座侧面均饰形态各异的花草叶脉纹饰，香几因置香炉而得名，因其不论在室内室外，多居中设置，无依无傍，故面面需可供人观赏。黑漆与螺钿的组合，尽显古人绝俗优雅的生活情趣。可知宋代内府或之前所造的螺钿器皿多产自江西吉水庐陵县，元代富豪大户则多在自家夜以继日地做造。在庐陵的新作因用料不同，而“贱不可当”。有元一代不及百年，所指“吉安各县旧家藏有螺钿床、椅、屏风、人物细妙可爱”。
