Ca. 550-400 BC. A pottery kyathos, an ancient vessel that was used for pouring wine or other liquids. This kyathos features a shallow, round body and a vertical handle with horn-like projections on top of it. The surface of the kyathos is decorated in a bichrome mode of linear and abstract forms, both on the exterior and interior, as well as on the handle. The Daunian area, located in southeastern Italy, was an important center for ceramic production during the ancient period.
