A pair of famille rose chargers with immortals and lotus pond, Yongzheng period (1722–35), China, D 31 cm, Purchased from Aronson Antiques (Amsterdam) in the mid 1980's, in the same family since then. The centres showing a pair of mandarin ducks in a lotus pond, the outer border showing the Eight Daoist Immortals crossing the sea. Not marked. One plate with a small firing crack in the rim (manufacturing flaw, see close-up photo). No other damage: no chips, no hairlines and no restoration.
