14K yellow gold, tested. 1 brilliant-cut diamond, circa 0.25 carats, TCR (I-J), P1. Colourful translucent enamel. Circa 3.1 x 3.1 cm. Ca. 13.6 g. Making translucent enamel requires great sensitivity in the choice of temperature, as each colour has a different melting point. The brooch can also be worn as a pendant. The pansy was a very popular motif in jewellery design during the Art Nouveau period.
