A bronze figural attachment depicting a young military commander with dressed hair and paludamentum secured at the right shoulder by a disc brooch; the eyes with sheet silver embellishments; the body supported by a rectangular panels and flanking columns with twist detailing, rectangular bracket with loop to front and rear, pointillé foliage ornament; ferrous stud to the underside. 487 grams, 14cm (5 1/2"). Ex Horton collection; formerly with Gorny & Mosch, 18 December 2013, lot 304; formerly in a 1990s private collection; accompanied by copies of the relevant Gorny & Mosch catalogue pages. Very fine condition.
