15th century AD. A bronze horse harness pendant with pierced suspension lug, enamelled field with reserved 'W' and coronet above. See Ashley, S. Medieval Armorial Horse Furniture in Norfolk, East Anglian Archaeology 101, Dereham, 2002 for discussion. 14 grams, 43mm (1 3/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the 1970s. Very fine condition.
