此壁瓶口微侈，长颈，溜肩，圈足。全器剔红雕漆而成，外壁见瓣瓣落樱，徐徐洒落，逐波而流，浅翠苲草，缓缓飘零。其构建出落花流水之意境皆为天下文人所喜，传达出乾隆皇帝于政治余暇寄情自然之文人性情。落花流水，语出唐代诗人李群玉《奉和张舍人送秦炼师归岑公山》诗：“兰浦苍苍春欲暮，落花流水怨离襟”句。
