Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Emperor Reign period GE type porcelain reward vase. Cylindrical body tapering slightly towards the receded flat base rises naturally into a stout neck, eventually angling outward at the ovoid opening. Distinctive Ge crackled glaze also known as jinsitiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of the lines that appear in the crackled surface. The immaculate bulbous celestial vase porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze with various striations throughout the finish. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The whole piece is raised on a small disk-shaped foot. The glaze terminates just before the end of the base revealing a dark charred clay. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
