AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE CENSER, DING
China, 17th-18th century. The deep, bowl-shaped body supported on three slender cylindrical legs and crisply cast with a broad taotie mask band above a leiwen ground divided by three vertical notched flanges, all below a pair of upright handles on the rim.
Provenance: From a French collector.
Condition: Excellent condition with tiny casting imperfections, wear, traces of use and a fine patina.
