A BRONZE CENSER, KANGXI
China, 1662-1722. The compressed globular body raised on three conical feet, the everted rim set with two loop handles, the base cast with a sixteencharacter inscription in a rectangular reserve.
Provenance: From the collection of Alexander Popov in Novi Sad, Kingdom of Serbia, acquired between 1900-1920. A copy of an old black and white photo, dating to early 1930s, with the collector’s cabinet, and the present vessel (seen from the backside only) within, is accompanying this lot.
Condition: Fine condition with wear and traces of use.
