A FOUR COLOR OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
China, 1750-1820. Probably Imperial Glass Workshops Beijing. The compressed bottle with a flaring lip and oval foot rim, the sapphire-blue, rose pink, green and yellow carved overlay with flowers, lingzhi and butterflies emerging from rockwork, on an opalescent glass ground.

Provenance: From the collection of W. B. Tapp (deceased 1992), Bristol, England.
Condition: Superb condition with only minor wear and one microscopic nick.

Stopper: Emerald green jade cabochon on black platelet
