A BLUE OVERLAY SNUFF BOTTLE
China, late 18th to mid-19th century. Finely carved and incised through the translucent marine-blue overlay to the opaque white ground to depict eight auspicious objects such as sword, fan, book, flute, lotus, double gourd and others. Raised lip and foot carved in blue overlay as well.

Provenance: From the collection of Alexander Popov in Novi Sad, Kingdom of Serbia, acquired between 1900-1920.
Condition: Excellent condition with one tiny loss and a few microscopic nibbles.

中國，十八世紀晚期至十九世紀中期。白地半透明海藍色套料，八吉祥紋飾，壺唇和底足凸起，套料延至足部。
