A SAPPHIRE BLUE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE AND MATCHING SNUFF DISH
China, 18th century. The transparent bottle of facetted rectangular form with lion mask handles on both narrow sides, elegantly placed on raised reserves. The foot matches the shape of the bottle. The snuff dish of identical color and with a convex top side. (2)

Provenance: From the collection of W. B. Tapp (deceased 1992), Bristol, England.
Condition: The bottle in excellent condition with minor wear, the dish with extensive wear and minute chip, both with minuscule nibbling.

Weight: 49.4 grams (bottle including stopper) and 10.3 grams (the dish)
Dimensions: Height including stopper 61 mm. Diameter neck 15 mm and mouth 6 mm. Diameter dish 33 mm
