A large Augsburg silver beaker with portraits of emperors Silver; partly gilded. Parcel-gilt silver tankard on three spherical supports. Of cylindrical form with a moulded rim, decorated with finely chased trophies surrounding portraits of ancient Roman emperors in three heart-shaped reserves. The domed lid with corresponding décor and a large spherical finial. Engraved with a small coat of arms on the underside. Brands: BZ Augsburg for 1685 - 87, MZ slightly misplaced, probably Philipp Küsel (c. 1668 - 1700, Seling no. 0870, 1692), tremolier engravings. H 23 cm, weight 675 g. Slightly indistinct maker's mark, presumably that of Philipp Küsel, late 17th C. Großer Deckelbecher mit Imperatorenbüsten Silber; teilweise vergoldet. Auf drei Kugelfüßen fast zylindrischer Korpus mit profiliertem Lippenrand; die Wandung mit getriebenen und fein ziselierten Tropaia zwischen drei herzförmigen Reserven mit Cäsarenbüsten. Der wenig aufgewölbte Deckel mit entsprechendem Dekor und großem Kugelknauf. Unterseitig kleine Wappengravur.
