A canapé and armchair suite White and gilt softwood with replaced silk covers over upholstery. Fine, asymmetrically moulded frames, the canapé with two central raised cartouche form back rests, finely carved wing motifs on the shoulders and integral Y-shaped arm rests with finely carved rocaille décor. On serpentine supports of square section with pronounced knees and rocaille relief. Earlier insect damage, the upper supports reinforced with metal. Canapé H 112.5, W 123, seat depth 53 cm. The design of this ensemble is more reminiscent of northern Italy, and the double back rests can be found again and again in Venetian furniture, but the unusual arm rests are unique. The finely carved wing motifs on the shoulders and the pronounced curvature of the legs points more towards southern Germany and indicate the influence of Francois Cuvilliés (1695 – 1768). Das Canapé mit zwei mittig hochgebogenen Kartuschenlehnen und feinen Flügelmotiven auf den Schultern. An den Lehnen befestigte Y-förmige Armstützen mit feinem Rocaillenrelief. Doppelt S-förmig geschweifte Vierkantbeine mit betonten Knien und einem prägnanten Blattrelief unter einer Rocaille. Schäden durch früheren Insektenbefall, die oberen Lehnen mit Metall verstärkt. Die Architektur des Ensembles ist eher norditalienisch; die doppelten Rückenlehnen gibt es mehrfach in der venezianischen Möbelproduktion. Die ungewöhnliche Gestaltung der Armlehnen ist singulär. Die feinen geschnitzten Flügelmotive an den Schultern und die stark geschweiften Beine sprechen für eine mögliche Zuordnung nach Süddeutschland und den Einfluss von Francois Cuvilliés (1695 - 1768).
