A Louis XVI pendulum clock Ormolu clock on a white marble base, glazed white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals. 14-day running with lock plate and thread suspension, half-hourly striking on a bell. With finely chased bronze figures of Leda and the swan alongside an amoretto with a burning torch. With fine relief appliques throughout. The dial signed "Lepaute à Paris". Jean Baptiste Lepaute (1727 - 1802) took over the studio of his famous brother Jean André in 1774 and retired in 1789, the year of the Revolution. Pendule d´époque Louis XVI Feuervergoldete Bronze, weißer Marmor, weißes Emailzifferblatt mit schwarzen arabischen Zahlen, gewölbtes Glas. 14-Tageläufer mit Schlossscheibe und Fadenaufhängung, Halbstundenschlag auf Glocke. Sehr fein ziselierte plastische Bronzen: Rechts die Leda mit Tuchdaperie, auf dem Uhrgehäuse der aufflatternde Schwan, links ein Amorknabe mit brennender Fackel. Reiche Reliefapplikationen: Palmetten in den Zwickeln um das Zifferblatt, eine Blattbordüre um die Basis, vorne auf der Basis ein Fries mit spielenden Putti, seitlich breite Bänder mit Rädchendekor.
