A white marble chimney piece White Carrara marble mantle attica with two putti supporting a coat of arms with an eagle in a garland of fruit flanked on either side by grotesques, flowering tendrils, vases, and flaming urns. The banderole reads "AMOR ET CARITAS". Signed lower right "Furio Piccirilli Sc." H c. 43, W 214, D c. 4 cm. Furio Piccirilli (Massa 1869 - 1949 Rome), around 1888/89, presumably made for Samuel Adler´s Monuments and Granite Works. Provenance North Italian collection.
