A Fine Chinese Straits Silver Pierced-Work Dish 19th Century, H.G.Beasley Collection. A small silver dish, the wall decorated in pierced work, the pattern featuring five pairs of birds. In the centre of the dish is a roundel featuring a kneeing figure in chased work. Diameter 9.5cm.

Provenance: from the well-known H. G. Beasley Collection. Harry Geoffrey Beasely assembled his collection between 1895 & 1939. Following his death in 1939 the collection was widely dispersed with many pieces going to the British Museum, such was the quality of the collection.

Also from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
