A Set of Four Chinese Ming Painted Pottery Horses with Riders. All pieces made from pale pinkish-brown pottery. The equestrians in various poses and wearing various headgear and clothing. They are cold-painted mostly in black and white pigments with details picked out in a variety of other colours. Heights 35-38cm. Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), possibly later.
Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
