勒子为和阗黄玉质地，红褐色沁。器呈长方柱体，器表圆滑，四角内倭，两端皆凸出。器体两面各高浮雕一螭龙，前额高凸，天庭饱满，五官集中于前部，龙身修长，蜿蜒盘曲，身姿矫健，分叉细长尾，具有典型的宋代特征。中打一通天孔，为典型的宋代玉勒精品。参阅：《中国玉器赏鉴》（上海科学技术出版社）薛贵笙主编 第96图“宋 青玉螭纹剑璏”可供参考。
