Made of solid Sollnhofen stone with pewter inlays. The upright oblong plaque divided into three segments. The upper section with a chiselled, painted coat of arms cartouche in the centre, flanked by two contoured pewter medallions. Below which an elaborate, delicately engraved text, concluding with the dedication and date "Andreas Delchi Schuelhalter machts Ano. 1633.". The lower section with a large, chiselled cartouche with a pewter panel depicting the birth of Christ. Damage due to age. The stone knocked. The pewter inlays rubbed. Dimensions circa 20 x 2.5 x 33 cm.Provenance: South German collection.Condition: II -
