The fully sculptured Moresca dancers in partially gilt silver, on lapis lazuli pedestals. Stamped with "925" and a barely legible monogram. Moreover, the titles of the figures labelled on each plinth. Modelled after the famous Moresca dancers created by Erasmus Grasser circa 1480 for the Old Town Hall in Munich. Richard Förster was a German sculptor, medallist and porcelain designer. After training at the Städelsches Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt am Main, he studied at Munich's Academy of Fine Arts from 1899 to 1901. In addition to statuary, portrait busts and medals, he designed figurines for the Manufaktur Rosenthal from 1919 and for the Manufaktur Allach from 1936. Slight signs of age. The gilding with minimal rubbing. The lapis lazuli knocked in places. Height approx. 12 cm each.Condition: I - II
