Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Three-dimensional porcelain pagodas with polychrome painting and raised gold decoration. Each with crafted figure and insertable hands and head with corresponding counterweights, partly made of lead, which can be set in vibration by a light touch. The figures depict a seated Asian man and woman, respectively, with Japanese flowers and decorative gilt hangings. Height 30 cm. Slight signs of age and wear. Partially restored. Minor firing cracks at the bottom. The detailed and high-quality workmanship suggests that these figures were manufactured by J. J. Kaendler in Meissen. Unfortunately, however, these pagodas are without maker‘s mark. Condition: II +
