The fragment of a statue of a youth or hero, broken at the hip with parts of the thighs, slightly smaller than life size. The hip is bent at a slight angle. The thighs are placed in the contrapposto pose, the weight on one leg, developed in the Classical Greek style by Polykleitos. Fine island marble with an almost velvety surface. On a pedestal.
