A FAMILLE VERTE ENAMELED PORCELAIN BRUSHPOT, QING DYNASTY China, 19th century. Of cylindrical form, painted in vivid green, yellow, aubergine and blue enamels, as well as in iron-red, black and gold. The glaze is covering the interior and exterior walls as well as the circular depression at the center of the concave base, but not its outer edge Delicately and lively painted depiction of three playful Buddhist lions, all fighting for the possession of a large brocade ball, surrounded by iron-red flames and a gilt magic pearl. The upper and lower end of the scene surrounded by a spiral- and a triangle-border respectively. Condition: Excellent, with some wear as expected on an old and authentic piece.
