A FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED PORCELAIN 'COURT LADY' SCENT BOX, QING DYNASTY China, 19th century. Of rectangular form, painted in bright enamels to the front and reverse with a court lady at a desk, daydreaming to one side and reading to the other, above and below flowering plum branches, the shortest sides with flying bats and clouds surrounding two pierced intertwined brocade balls.
