A STONE INDUS VALLEY STYLE FIGURE OF A MAN 20th century. A work of a sculptor, reminiscent of the famous Indus Valley human figurines (3300 BCE to 1300 BCE). Of figural shape carved from a mottled orange stone, depicting a standing male figure, pierced holes for eyes, nose and mouth, large earrings as well as broad hips, straight cylindrical legs and prominent buttocks and phallus. Condition: Very good condition, one eye with nicks. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
