Ming Dynasty Zhangzhou (Swatow) Ware Plate W/Koi Pond Scene - This piece has a powder blue underglaze depicting a koi pond scene, with floral accents and a scale-like background. The piece shows the characteristics of Zhangzhou Ware, with it's sandy, gritty base. These pieces are becoming harder and harder to come by, as most of the Zhangzhou pieces were lost in the many Southeast Asian shipwrecks. The plate measures 10.5" in diameter.
