Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 400 CE. A fabulous pottery bowl presenting a round yet stable base, straight walls, and an annular rim, all adorned in hues light orange, cream, brown, and black. Though bare on the interior, the exterior of the vessel displays a painted horizontal band near its rim comprised of a lovely minimalist abstract pattern of alternating squares and rectangles.
