Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, Chinesco type, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl with a flat base, a thin rim, and a pair of stacked body chambers. The highly burnished surfaces are first painted with a brick-red pigment and then embellished with intricate linear motifs in hues of citrine and cream.
