Signature by the artist: "Zheng Cai" with a dedication and dating. Seal: "Zheng Cai zhi yin", "Zhongxing shixun" et al. Seven collectors' seals: "Dunzhai", "Ziyan zhi yin", "Tun Yunmeng zhe bajiu", "Huang Qiyou yin", "Qian Cunren yin", "Xueguan", "Bufu lun ?". Zheng Cai, style name Yuchang, from Nan'an in Fujian, was a high official of the southern Ming after the fall of the Ming dynasty. Huang Qiyou, sobriquet Yingsi, from Puyang in Fujian, earned the jinshi degree in 1628-Acquired at Nagel, Stuttgart, 11th May 2007, auction 33A, no. 1739-Minor rest.
