150 x 38,5 cm Condition Style of Mi Fu (1052-1107), China, ca. 17th ct. Mountain Landscape. Hanging scroll, ink on silk. Signature: "In the springtime of the second year of the Chongning period (1103), Mi Fu from Xiangyang." One seal: "Xiangyang Mi Fu". Nice painting in the style of the Song dynasty. The silk and the style of the calligraphy and painting seem quite old. It shows the characteristic Mi Fu landscape style with mountains built up by layers of wet and dark horizontal ink dots.
