120,7 x 48,7 cm Condition Zhang Ru, China, probably dated 1875 Mountain Landscape in the literati style. Hanging scroll, ink and colours on paper. Poetic inscription by the artist, signature: "In the 9th month in autumn of the yihai year (perhaps 1875) painted by the Recluse of the Bamboo Rock (Xiaoshi shanqiao) from Lingchuan". Three seals: "Zhang Ru", "Xiaoshi" and "(deng)shou". A painter named Zhang Ru is recorded in the sources. He had the style name Zonglu and was from Shaowu in Fujian.
