Inscription and signature by the artist: "Painted in the style of Huanghe shanqiao (Wang Meng, 1308-1385), Dong Bangda". Two seals of the artist: "Bangda hua yin", "Dongshan". One collector's seal. Dong Bangda, style name Dongshan, was president of the ministry of rites at the Qing court and a brilliant painter of landscapes who was much admired by the Qianlong Emperor (reg. 1736-1795).
