A W.W.II Japanese officers Shin-Gunto katana the 24" single edge blade with wavy hammon, gilt brass tsuba and shagreen handle, red lacquer metal saya overall length 99 cm. Condition: Some oxidation to blade but free from rust. The blade is free from any notches or damage but there are some scratches and wear. The handle is missing the grip. Handle has a historic repair The terminal has cracked the whole way round and is split running towards the tsuba on the inner edge. This has been filled. The tsuba has light scratches and wear
