Two similar Chinese Dehua porcelain libation cups 德化窑盃两件 17th/18th century 十七或十八世纪 Modelled in the form of rhinoceros horn cups, one with qilin, phoenix and flowering branches, the other with tiger, dragon, deer and crane, with associated Japanese wood boxes (2). (H: 3 1/4 in.) Provenance: Property from the collection of Dora Wong, New York City Condition report: One with diagonal hairline crack from rim, approximately 2 in. long, slight area of restoration to branch above qilin head, moderate surface wear, a few scattered small grey specks to porcelain; other cup with a few scattered dark specks and inclusions, a small chip to rim, polished chip to foot, with associated slight discoloration.
