The porcelain potted into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Warm and uniform green celadon glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Celadons is a type of green-glazed Chinese and were among the finest of a range of celadon wares produced in China, and led stylistic and technical developments. The celadons were produced in a range of shades of colour, centred on olive-green, but extending to greenish blues and browns.
