Chinese Ming Dynasty Chenghua Bucket Doucai Flower Porcelain Lidded Jar. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim with flat dome lidded, short neck, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against doucai design color, depicted of flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue ring line. Made in The Years ChengHua Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
