During 1916-1924. Dimensions: Weight: 1780g, Height: 20 Length: 11 cm, Width: 10.8 cmChinese Ming Dynasty Period, Gilt Bronze Bodhisattva Buddha. Bodhisattva Buddha is shown Avalokiteshvara posture with leg crossing and one leg dropping to a small lotus base and the left hand in front of the shoulder and the hand supporting the front on the back. Symbolic of the Buddha's entry into a state of profound meditation upon a lotus blossom throne position on a double lotus throne. Its blue hair is gathered into a topknot and the hair textures, crown, jewelry ornament are carved clear and exquisite. This sculpture appears to be the perfect example, by any artistic tradition, both for technical precision and exquisite form.The underside with incised Quadra-petal flori-form visvavajra mark and centralized DaiJi.
