(594) Oriental VaseDimensions: Width: 31cm, Height: 49cmChinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Underglaze Red Porcelain Vase. The porcelain potted in vase shape, thick and tall, globular lower body, straight round neck, flaring mouth rim, raised on a short ring foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue and red color, depicted of deer standing on the grass field surrounded with dense tree, flowers bloom and rocky rock. The deer symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, while the inclusion of peaches and Lingzhi fungus in the decoration is often a further symbolic of longevity. .The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
