The Peking glass shaped into a large vase, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. The interior, exterior are both covered in yellow color. The body carved with snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves in a carving beneath the attractive egg-yolk-yellow. Peking glass originated in 18th century China during the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass dubbed Imperial Yellow, due to the colors strong association with the Qing Imperial .The design is well-proportioned, the clay fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four carved script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Guangxu Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
