A pair of Chinese export-style lidded vases with blue underglaze and colorful overglazes dating from the 18th century. Each vase and lid features landscape scenes on each side framed by underglaze blue floral bands. The neck of each vase is flanked by beast handles, each lid has a guardian lion finial. Each part has a sticker from the November 15, 2017 sale by Woolley & Wallis Salisbury Salesrooms. Dimensions are: each vase with its lid measures 14 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches long X 3 inches wide, 36.8 cm X 12.7 cm X 7.6 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One lid is in overall good condition. The other lid has multiple hairlines to the top, repairs to the finial, and a chip to the lion's tail. One vase has firing cracks to the handles. The other vase has repairs throughout, including overpainting to the mouth. All parts have glaze loss and wear throughout. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
