A Chinese dark blue silk roundel with four embroidered dragon roundels dating from the early 19th century. The embroidery uses gold thread, and the roundels feature Buddhist emblems and Shou medallions. Two of the roundels have additional round patches sewn on of the sun and moon symbols from the Chinese Symbols of Imperial Sovereignty, suggesting that this panel may have been intended to be made into a robe for the emperor. Dimensions are: the whole panel measures 46 inches in diameter, 116.8 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in overall good condition with some loose threads.
